I had a manager whose favorite quote was, “Nothing happens till something sells.” Developing award-winning proposals are essential to building a successful business.
I believe reviewing a proposal should be an experience for our clients. Developing a solid strategy to win the business is essential, but the storytelling in the submission is just as important.
From creative strategy to visual communications, brand identity, and renderings, I have extensive experience developing world-class responses.
As you can imagine, I cannot share the proposals I have done for agencies. I would love to share more insights and strategies in person. Please reach out if you want to learn more.
I have been honored to be a creative lead on numerous innovative experiential marketing activations. In some cases, I helped translate agency concepts into real-world experiences. In others, I led the creative strategy.
Some of my experience includes:
Booze Allen Hamilton’s Executive Briefing Center immersive case study activation
Bud Light’s, Up For Whatever Campaign - one of the most extensive series of activations in the world
Pop-up takeovers in Los Angeles and New York City
Sephora’s ground-breaking expo activation
Nike Jordon’s product launch in Chicago
My expertise covers all aspects of the creative process, including environment design and hyper-photo realistic renderings. These designs have helped land sophisticated clients who desire high-quality work from pitch to production.
For more than a decade, I have had the unique opportunity to creatively direct several major international summits in the United States, including two G20 Nuclear Security Summits, G40 Financial Summit, G8 Summit at Camp David, and NATO Summit in Chicago.
I recently designed President Biden’s Virtual Leaders Summit on Climate and The Major Economies Summit on Climate. Working directly with The State Department and The White House, I created the logo, event identity, broadcast studios at the White House, and the virtual environments.
Most of these summits are exceptionally large and logistically complicated, requiring the creation of self-contained environments inside the venue that allowed heads of state, country delegations, and the press to move around without intermingling. These environments included plenary sessions, leaders’ dining areas, press sets, media centers, delegation offices, bilateral meetings, and lounges.
As Creative Director, I was responsible for the way-finding, navigation, site layouts, graphic design, digital content, and overall look and feel for each summit. An essential part of the design process was understanding each camera's exact location and what it was capturing.
As a final note, I have designed the past two semipermanent press sets President Biden used at the White House.
As Creative Director on several presidential inaugurations since 2001, I worked with the Presidential Inaugural Committees for George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald J. Trump. I was involved in every step, from the theme and lock-up to the environment design for as many as 13 balls plus tertiary events, including the parade and Military Ball at the National Building Museum.
The U.S. Department of State brought together international ocean and foreign policy communities from nearly 90 countries to share lessons learned, best science, and practical actions for preserving our oceans. This event occurred twice in two years.
Conference name, logo, brand identity, and the overall environment design were some of the services provided.
I have worked on thousands of events and experiences throughout my career, ranging from intimate environments to significant events such as the Democratic National Convention.
In my seldom found free time, I dabble in painting and illustrating. I work in several mediums, including digital. Recent pen and ink drawings focus on my favorite subject matter… “critters.”
Not coming to bookshelves near you. I also developed and illustrated a series of characters for a children’s book my partner wrote. Who knew getting a children’s book published was so tricky.
